The Foolish Tortoise

One of Caroline's favorite books is The Foolish Tortoise. It's about a turtle who's tired of being slow so he takes off his shell but quickly realizes that he has no protection from the world around him. Her favorite part of the book is when the tortoise encounters a snake and "almost had an accident." The accident of course is that he was almost attacked by a snake, but Caroline thinks it's that the snake "went potty in his pants." She laughs hysterically every time we get to that page and consequently LOVES snakes and turtles. Here we are at the Dallas zoo by a yellow snake and posing with a giant tortoise in honor of her favorite book.
