Butterflies

Kita ordered Sweet Caroline a really cool butterfly kit. It comes with a butterfly habitat and a coupon to order live caterpillars. We sent our coupon off about 3 1/2 weeks ago and were excited to get the mail one Friday afternoon and find this:

Look how excited Caroline is with her little caterpillars.

They were barely moving so Mommy was afraid they didn't make the mailing. Slowly but surely, they started to come to life and move around.

We have 5 tiny and very hungry caterpillars.

Here they are literally days later. Look how much they've grown!

And then, they formed 5 cocoons!!!

Now we've transferred the cocoons to the butterfly habitat and should have some beautiful butterflies very soon!
