Rewind to September 15, 2007...

It was a normal fall Saturday. Will was watching College Gameday. Then after eating lunch, Will settled in on the couch, ready to watch Texas' game at Central Florida at 2:30 p.m. However, kickoff was still about two hours away.

Meanwhile, Dana had gone to the grocery store in the morning and after coming home, was getting ready to shower.

"WILL!", Dana called from the bathroom, kind of frantically.

Will jumped up from the couch and ran 30 feet to the bathroom expecting that Dana had fallen, found a snake or something drastic.

Instead, Dana showed Will a pregnancy test. Will had absolutely no idea that Dana bought a test at the store.

Not knowing what blue or pink meant, Will quickly learned that the first test was positive. In a joking manner, Will said something to the effect of, "It's gameday. My nerves are already shot as usual. Let me throw up, let's watch the game and then we can talk."

We watched the game, of course, but we kept looking at each other smiling, laughing and kidding. The remainder of the day - the unexpectedly close game, too - was sort of a blur.

After the game, we ate dinner and our prayer before that meal took on a whole new meaning: we had two additional things to pray for - Dana's health and our baby.

What did all this mean? We'd have to wait until Monday to call Dana's doctor to schedule a confirmation appointment, which would be two weeks later on October 1.

And the rest, as they say, is history.
